As a landmark of the north Bangkok area, PTT Innovation Park Landmark combines the functions of a PTT flagship service station, rest area, knowledge centre and PTT art gallery to serve commuters along Phaholyothin Road, the gateway to north and northeastern Thailand.

With the purpose of reflecting the PTT identity as well as TAGNOC (Technologically Advanced and Green National Oil Company) concept, the site is located in front of the PTT Research Centre, where knowledge is promoted through exhibition.

In order to reflect PTT’s identity, 3 main concepts were proposed:

Natural Energy -- To reflect PTT’s identity and raise public awareness, as an energy company, it is crucial to visualize energy which normally invisible. The initial form of the building is inspired by nature to represent timelessness. The design was then fine-tuned, taking wind force into account, to create a form which is both aerodynamic as well as generates the most power from the wind. The façade was created with consideration to the direction of sunlight, in order to optimize day-lighting strategies.

Kinetic Landmark -- To create a quality and unique landmark, kineticism is applied to represent movement due to natural energy. The key elements are its kinetic façade and wind turbine which creates movement through natural forces.

Eco-Forest -- Ecological conservation is also a part of the company’s vision. The concept of eco-forest is implemented to not only showcase this vision, but also create an eco-forest landmark with the context of the paddy field. Apart from these landmark buildings, all other buildings are hidden behind the eco-forest to emphasize this green oasis to the public.
