The Siriwittaya building was designed to facilitate the general education curriculum of the Faculty of Liberal Arts at Mahidol University. General education covers a diverse range of subjects and is an important foundation for the undergraduate degree.

The architecture reflects this, with classrooms of various capacities which can also be combined into a large lecture hall. Multi-color concrete fins on the exterior appear to be randomly sized and resembles an array of books in a library, signifying the faculty as a source of diverse knowledge.

These exterior fins not only serve an aesthetic purpose, but offer shading from direct sunlight, creating a comfortable atmosphere with the building and providing natural ventilation to keep the exterior surface cool, thus reducing energy consumption through passive design.
