Located on a private site, the computer center provides ultimate protection for the digital data at the core of this organization. The program called for a structure that allowed no single point of failure. It was required to withstand being cut off from the grid for a least one month, no matter what kind of situation might happen, whether flooding, magnetic field shock, or other possible attacks and natural disasters. Despite the simple box volume and fortress-like design solution, the design offers an enigmatic aesthetic, yet responsive appearance, to the function of the building. Its facade is clad with dark aluminum composite panel in combination with aluminum louvers, an appropriate solution for durability, maintenance, and construction speed. The result placed the project among the most advanced computer centers in the country; as a result, the practice continually receives new commissions for this particular typology.
