As the university prioritizes creative learning, the design expresses this mission through the liberal application of bold colors aimed at giving its students a sense of excitement and positive energy. This includes smothering the surfaces of the canopy, semi outdoor hallway and main stairway in a striking red color to draw users into the building. The plan has been laid out following the sequence of the different stages of film and animation production in a loop that terminates with the theater. The front faade clearly articulates the interplay of positive and negative spaces and the juxtaposition between the muted exterior and the vividly colorful interior finish. The exterior wall of the theater that forms part of the front faade has been finely sliced into thin strips, painted on the edges and protruded at various angles to create a wave-like form. In doing so, it gives a sense of depth and movement to the building in addition to being a playful three-dimensional representation of the art of animation.
