Abu Dhabi is the largest and wealthiest state within the United Arab Emirates. It is flanked by Saudi Arabia to the west and south, Dubai to the east, and has 600 kilometers of Arabian Gulf coastline with an archipelago of islands forming its northern boundary.

Al Yasmeen Island Projects is one of 200 islands located offshore, in the Arabian Gulf. With a total area of approximately 295 acres, it comprises 3 zones: Main Island, Mangrove Island and Corniche.

The master plan was designed to create a destination of privacy and tranquility, as well as encourage environmental awareness and appreciation of the unspoiled Mangrove Island and crystal waters of the Arabian Gulf.

Fortunately, eco-systems can be preserved through the co-existence of ‘mangroves and mankind’, bolstering the environment rather than destroying what is so important to the health of our rivers, estuaries, and the ocean by re-evaluating our needs and adopting a new philosophy.

By working within and becoming familiar with the natural environment, development goals and requirements can be adapted to the needs of the eco-system. This allows us to live in and benefit from these natural surroundings without upsetting the delicate balance.

A comprehensive land management plan was a major component of the development strategy, with integrated social, economic, technical, esthetic and environment goals. Final design and construction will be carried out sensitive to the eco-balance of Abu Dhabi.

10-minutes’ drive from downtown Abu Dhabi, Al Yasmeen Islands is an ultra-luxury residential community in a maritime setting. A 5-star hotel and retail development, as well as waterfront park, is located on the mainland along the cornice. Access to the residential zones is via a bridge to the island. Various types of residential units; mansions, villas, townhouses, or low-rise apartments, are found in their individually designated zones. The master plan was laid-out such that each residential zone, or island community, has its own direct entrance. Once on the island, a main boulevard leads into the compound which has its own unique characteristic and lay-out. The house in the Waterfront Cluster, for example, are laid-out in a courtyard style, while the low-rise apartments are grouped in clusters of three blocks, providing an atmosphere of exclusivity. This low-density residential development will offer an attractive alternative living experience close to Abu Dhabi’s city center.
